Domestic and international collaborations

The Department of Polymer Chemistry starts collaborating with the Department of Material Chemistry for purpose of formulating a research group to focus on developing new materials and at first installs a new course on the undergraduate program for which both departments will together provide education of chemistry consistently over the topics from fundamentals to the subject of advanced technologies.

The department participates to KIPS (Kyoto Institute of Polymer Science) for promoting the interrelationship of researchers in polymer science from different sections and also supports the interchange of researchers with overseas institutes and industries as well as the other universities by conducting symposiums with the domestic and overseas research organizations.

Furthermore, the department has been conducting Global COE Program which aims to bring up young researchers together with Departments of Material Chemistry, Energy and Hydrocarbon Chemistry, and Materials Science.
